Sorry to hear of Lisa Cohen’s death recently. If you (Larry or others) have access to her obituary, I will be anxious to put in on David’s page on our website. By the way, I have completed updating and improving the website with the result that it is much faster than before. The address is: https://mcg1963.com. I manage and pay for the site along with Larry’s crucial input which arises from his energy and great enthusiasm in communicating with all of you. Please realized I have zero help from MCG, AU or other outside elements. If you have not explored the site, I encourage you to spend some time, explore member pages, ponder past experiences and think of times we have had with our living classmates and those who have gone on ahead of us. If you are not savvy with computers, get your grandchild to help you “get on”. I promise you will be rewarded. Now is a good time to do that what with the Covid-19 environment we live in.
For me, (see my page) I’ m still kicking in Augusta and sheltered in place with wife Ginny. Fortunately. I’m able to continue to interpret Vascular Lab studies (carotid duplex, post-EVAR surveillance duplex, AV access, peripheral arterial physiologic studies, etc, etc) online for Charlie Norwood VA Hospital (next door to MCG/AUMC) –all from the comfort of my home 2 miles away! If images can be read from India, Menlo Park, California, etc, why not 2 miles away? Otherwise, life is boring. I get out to walk 4-5 miles every other day around and about the Summerville AU campus (the old Augusta College site) which is basically across the street from home. My grandchildren (all 10) are within 2 miles in the Summerville neighborhood in Augusta-but that doesn’t do Ginny and me much good since we are trying to be good citizens and stay at home alone. Our daughters-in law are fantastic with the grocery shopping and home delivery. I’m practicing my clarinet daily trying to keep “my chops up” during this “downturn”. Also, as I’m sure you are, watching plenty of Netflix, Amazon Prime, HULU, etc movies! Hopefully, these surreal times will soon come to an end! Please let Larry hear from you. Now is a great time to catch up with all your old friends and acquaintances. Stay safe and keep the faith!
